Explore. Discover. Grow in Faith.
The William Lee Hawkins Library
Our Mission
The library at First Presbyterian Church invites you to explore, discover, and grow in faith.
We provide resources to deepen your understanding of the Bible, Christian faith, the church, and other beliefs, while also offering books that bring comfort and encouragement for daily living.
Our collection reflects the heart and mission of First Pres and its ministry team, and through it all, we seek to share and live out the good news of the gospel.
A Place For You
The William Lee Hawkins Library is located in the Ministry Center on the second floor. The Library Catalog is available to search from your computer, phone, or tablet.
Finding Books
Looking for something to read? Search the library catalog by title, author, or subject, then note the book’s call number to find it on the shelves. Books are organized by subject using the Dewey Decimal System and the first three letters of the author’s last name.
Checking Out Books
Ready to take a book home? Checking out is self-service—simply sign and date the card in the back pocket of the book and place it in the file box on the library desk.
Donating to the Library
Have books or media to share? We welcome donations of new and gently used books, DVDs, audio materials, and other media, as well as financial gifts. All donations are subject to approval by the librarians and by the Adult Education Commission, and may be added to the collection, shared with others, donated elsewhere, or recycled based on the library’s needs and mission.
