We will be back to the gym by 7:30 pm. Cost is $10/per person. You will need to email back to Kelly Presson by Wednesday, March 3 deadline. We must have a firm headcount at that time. Our Covid Guidelines (masks and social distancing) will continue to be followed. We are excited to see you there! Youth Family Contact
On February 21 SALT, Middle, and High School youth and families participated in a “scavenger hunt” around town to collect needed items for the Coastal Women’s Center. We had done a similar event in November for RCS and were so excited to support our community in this way again! Thank you to all the congregation members who rallied together to leave items on their front porches for us to find and collect. Together we collected over 1000 items. We had TWO cars full that were taken to the Women’s Center!! Plus, several donations left at the church office for us to collect. Working together, even from a distance, and being able to be the hands and feet of the Church in this way is so meaningful to our Youth! It was a very successful night! Thanks to lots of folks!! |
Fun with Music for Christmas from Ms. Pat
Dough Holy Night Advent Family Christmas
Hi First Pres Families!
Can you believe it? It’s almost here—Christmas is right around the corner!
There is so much joy surrounding this season, but there can also be a lot of chaos! The added stress of Covid this year can make a joyful time seem, well, less than exciting! It’s so easy to let the entire month of December fly past us and totally forget why we celebrate Christmas. That’s why we’re hosting “Dough Holy Night” this year.
This is a fun and interactive experience designed for your family to do at home - a special, and safe, way for us to celebrate the true reason for Christmas, even if we can’t be with our church family like normal. Together you’ll bake a batch of Christmas cookies and, along the way, hear the story of the very first Christmas. Best of all, there’s a video that walks you step-by-step through the entire experience. It’s so simple!
To get started, click this link to access the video and materials. When prompted, you’ll need to enter a password contact cathy@firstpresnb.org or marianna@firstpresnb.org or check your last Sunday email.
I’ve also attached the materials (recipe cards and coloring sheets) below, so you have several options for access. *You will need to provide your own baking ingredients, but if you need help getting these, please reach out to Marianna!*
While you can complete this activity as many times over the holiday season as you would like, this is meant to be a one time holiday session for our families. So feel free to participate in the baking fun whenever works best for your schedule throughout our Advent season.
Even though this is an at-home experience, we want to share it as a community! So be sure to post pictures and videos of your kids in action, tag us on Facebook at First Presbyterian Church OR email Marianna at marianna@firstpres.org.
We hope and pray that this opportunity allows you to press pause on the busyness of the season and remember that Jesus is the sweetest part of Christmas.
Merry Christmas!

Scavenger Hunt for RCS
It WAS a great night! I stay so pumped up about the energy that our youth brings to everything we’re doing!
We collected 486 nonperishable items last night - my car is literally stocked to the brim. I’ll head over to RCS after school to drop it all off! BIG shout out thanks to the congregation for participating too! It truly made it feel like a church wide event, which I love!
And the food - wonderful as always! :)

Dear First Presbyterian church family,
As a lifelong member of this church, I have experienced many milestones and transitions here, and have been fortunate to have many of you by my side for all them. From youth group member, to college student, to new wife, to teacher, to new mom, my church family has been a constant source of support and encouragement.
This year, I embark on another adventure as I will now be working with our First Presbyterian High School Ministry. Our church family as a whole is in a transition period, which can be equal parts scary and exciting! Being able to provide the same sense of comfort and stability for our current youth, as has been provided for me, is a top priority and something I am excited to start working on.
As we continue our search for a full time Director of Youth Education while also navigating the new waters brought on by Covid-19, I am excited to work alongside our other youth leaders to provide safe, meaningful, and fun youth activities for the year.
I have a feeling this adventure will be the most fun yet!
